Rick Rufner has practiced law in Colorado for over 39 years. His law practice has emphasized family law matters (divorce, parenting time, family support) and civil litigation. He is married and has two adult children. Rick has always believed that personal attention to each client’s legal needs is crucial to effective resolution of that need. He brings that same commitment to personal attention to his work as a mediator. He understands that timely and personal care and compassion are key components to effective and meaningful resolution of all legal issues confronting his clients. He constantly provides compassionate service to clients in the most expeditious and efficient way possible.
Rick brings a wealth of personal and professional experience as a civil litigator and community leader to his law practice. After graduation in 1969 from the U.S. Naval Academy, with honors, Rick served on active duty in the Navy as a jet fighter pilot and a department head on a guided missile frigate. He has been an active member of local and state bar associations, The American Bar Association and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. From 1995 through 2003, Rick was an elected member of the Board of Education for Littleton Public Schools which was recognized in 2002 as the Outstanding Colorado School Board by the Colorado Association of School Boards.
